Set to make history, this clean-emission, carbon-free, electronic motorcycle was first unveilled by
Kingston University engineers in April 2009. It joined 22 other bikes from America, India, Italy and
Austria to race in the world’s first zero-emissions Grand Prix on the Isle of Mann.
Paul Brandon, course director for motorsport and motorcycle engineering at Kingston University,
will talk about the materials, technologies and design features behind this lean green racing machine.

Collaborative Training Centre, University of Brighton
A one-day seminar to benefit and interest professionals from any built environment discipline and enable them to better understand what is required to reach a sustainability rating of six stars, within the energy criteria in the Code for Sustainable Homes. The seminar reviews the demands for energy in houses, identifies the requirements of the code and reviews the energy technologies appropriate for reducing the consumption of fossil fuels. It is run by the Collaborative Training Centre at the University of Brighton, in conjunction with the School of Environment and Technology.
People working for small to medium enterprises located in the SEEDA region may be eligible for a £50 discount on this seminar. Those eligible for the initial discount can also claim £25 cashback after attending the seminar, once they have returned all the required paperwork. Discounted training is being offered through the Enviroskills programme at Business Support Kent, funded by the European Social Fund.
