ENVIROBUSINESS LAUNCHED
Friday, 15th September saw the official launch of EnviroBusiness by James Brathwaite, CBE and Chair of SEEDA. The launch event was held at a location chosen for its innovative and environmentally considered design, the Jubilee Library in Brighton.
In launching EnviroBusiness, James Brathwaite stated the importance of the environmental technologies and services sector to delivering sustainable growth for the South East economy:
“Environmental enterprise is key to achieving the central objective of the South East’s new Regional Economic Strategy; to achieve sustainable economic development and prosperity.”
“We have a great base of innovative environmental companies to start from, and the creation of EnviroBusiness is designed to grow these and drive the sector as a whole. It is not just important for the UK, it will be a great global business as well.”
Delegates from across the energy and environmental sector attended the event and discussed their support and interest in EnviroBusiness.
Present at the event were representatives from National, Regional and Local Government; Business Links; Sustainable Business Partnerships; Knowledge Transfer Networks; Businesses large and small; Researchers and Venture Capitalists to name just a few.
