Looking To Develop Business Opportunities During The London Olympics?

If you are but haven’t signed onto the CompeteFor website which matches business with related opportunities, then wait no longer. The Olympic Delivery Authority says it has placed over £2billion worth of work already to 650 companies – most of which are SMEs. This free service has already attracted 18,000 companies and if you offer innovative technology or specialist services in the environmental sector, you could be the next company winning a contract. You can sign up for the CompeteFor scheme here:
You’ll need some quite comprehensive information for the registration process including details of the equality and diversity of your staff (if applicable) but once completed and published, you will have your details available in a comprehensive database of suppliers, visible to any of the buyers coming to the CompeteFor site. You can also upload photographs and supporting marketing information to help sell your services and technology.
Many companies start to populate the registration form, but fail to complete the process, which means they will not be eligible for contracts. The reason for incomplete registrations varies, but the questions concerning quality management may be daunting for some people.
To help, Business Solutions Kent has been running a series of Quality Management Workshops that will help companies understand the importance of being a 'quality' business. Delegates will leave the half day workshop with a draft Quality Management Statement, which is one of the three mandatory requirements to publish on CompeteFor and the biggest area SMEs fail on.
